Here’s why you should do a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) course

Level 3 Award in Education and training, also known as AET, gives you the possibility of becoming a teacher or a trainer. This qualification enables you to teach and train in post-16 education. But what is post-16 education? Post-16 education includes vocational training and work-based learning, this also includes training door supervisors, security officers, CCTV operators and much more. If you are a true professional at your work, why not pass on your knowledge to the new generation? Like they say, sharing is caring.

This qualification is perfect for those who have been thinking about teaching, or those that look to change up their career path. For example, if you already hold a SIA door supervisor license and have 2 or more years of experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Doing an AET course will enable you to become a trainer for your respected field. You can also keep working as a door supervisor and be a tutor, the decision is up to you. You can work on a permanent basis or be your own boss by being a freelance tutor or opening up your own education centre. Security trainers can make up to a whopping £43000 a year! All you need to do is one simple course to unlock that path for you. However, this qualification is not only limited to becoming a security trainer. If you hold any other qualifications, perhaps from health & safety or even beauty, you can become a trainer for that. The possibilities are endless.

Furthermore, you can obtain this qualification fully online at your own pace. However, you can implement the qualification both in-person and online. That means that you are eligible to teach classes in person, or if you prefer you can also teach them online, without having to report to a single address from 9 to 5. I guess you could say that the freedom lies within the AET course, as not only do you get the option of becoming your own boss, but also the option of choosing where you want to work from, whether you prefer the office or home.

The AET course itself consists of 3 units:

  1. Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training

  2. Understanding and Using inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training

  3. Understanding Assessment in Education and Training

These units have been designed to equip you with the knowledge needed to succeed in your new tutor position and prepare you for anything that is yet to come. These study materials have been worked out by our professional team to ensure that there are no surprises for you when you start working as a tutor and understand every aspect of the job. What makes our material even better is the fact that these materials were worked out by people that utilise their AET qualification on a daily basis. We worked closely with tutors to ensure that we could truly cover every single aspect.

So, what are you waiting for? Book your course here.
